Attorney. His experiences in the China-Burma-India Theater during World War II. Induction into the Army, April, 1943; Officer Candidate School, Fort Benning, Georgia, 1943-44; selection for the Counter Intelligence Corps, 1944; British Intelligence School, Karachi, India, 1944; assignment to Kweiyang, China, 1944; end of the war and his transfer to the War Crimes Section as an Assistant Theater Judge Advocate, 1945; assignment to Hankow to investigate the executions of three of Jimmy Doolittle’s pilots; assignment to Formosa to investigate war crimes, 1945; dealing with Japanese military personnel accused of committing atrocities against Allied POWs on Formosa; his postwar career in the Army Reserve.
