DescriptionFor the Postpartum Depression and Maternal Mental Health Oral History Project. Jeanne Watson Driscoll is a retired clinical nurse scientist with a focus on postpartum mental health. She discusses her own history of postpartum obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) in the 1970s, her work in breastfeeding counseling and the Boston Association of Childbirth Education, her training in interpersonal psychology, and her work teaching childbirth education in the 1970s and 1980s. She discusses her introduction to Depression After Delivery (DAD) and Nancy Berchtold in 1986, as well as interactions with James Hamilton, Cheryl Beck, Lee Cohen, Ellen Story, Wendy Davis, Deborah Sichel, Jane Honikman. Driscoll then focuses on her role in Postpartum Support International (PSI) as well as her work in private practice, her relationship with health insurance.
