Elected first woman mayor of Marshall, Texas, in 1994. Her legacy of work, fund-raising and restoration efforts in Marshall and East Texas. Accomplishments include founding the Marshall Public Library, construction of the Marshall Civic Center Auditorium and the restoration of the Harrison County Courthouse.
