Description | Luis discusses his professional life as a chef. He received his training in New York City in a culinary arts program. Following, he worked as a cook for the U.S. Embassy in Saigon. When he returned to the U.S., he continued to work as a chef in San Diego, California. During this time, he met his partner David, who was a butcher. After David died from a car accident, Luis returned to El Paso, Texas. Recently, Luis came out of retirement to work part-time for the Borderland Rainbow Center's food pantry. |
