North Texas Immigrant Rights Movement Oral History Project

This collection features interviews with men and women involved in the immigrant rights marches that occurred in Dallas and Fort Worth in 2006, which coincided with various protests that occurred during the spring across the nation. The protests were largely prompted by the passing of H.R 4437, a controversial bill that would have significantly affected immigrants. Topics of discussion include interviewees' upbringings and involvement in the community, needs of immigrants, opinions about current immigration law.
