Mission Statement: The purpose of the Denton County Historical Commission (DCHC) is to preserve, protect, and promote the history of Denton County. The DCHC works closely with the Texas Historical Commission, a state agency for historic preservation. The volunteer members are appointed to two-year terms by the Denton County Commissioners Court as an arm of the Denton County government.
