Childhood and education in rural Suphan Buri and urban Ranong and Bangkok, Thailand; decision to immigrate to U.S.; enrollment at North Texas Junior College in Gainesville, Texas; first impressions of U.S. and Texas; transfer to UNT to study biology; decision to open the restaurant/grocery store that evolved into Mr. Chopsticks; efforts to keep in touch with family in Thailand.
