Pre-war duty in north China; fall of Bataan and capture; Camp O’Donnell, 1942; Cabanatuan, 1942-43; Davao Penal Colony, 1943; escape from torpedoed hell ship and rescue by Filipino guerrillas; evacuation by American submarine.
