OH 1716

For the Tarrant County War Veterans Oral History Project. World War II veteran. World War II veteran. Childhood in Dallas, Texas, medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Dallas, and internship at the University of Michigan prior to enlistment in the Army Air Corp as a surgeon with the Third Air Commando Group. Experiences in the Philippines providing medicinal care to military personnel and local civilians, and reunion with a medical school classmate who was interred as a POW at Cabanatuan. Post-war medical career in Fort Worth, Texas, and experience returning a war souvenir, a Japanese ceremonial sword, to its ancestral family.
