UNT alumnus and Music Director of the Grand Ole Opry. Discussion of the tic tac bass style, including its foundations with Ray Price’s band, guitarist Harold Bradley’s innovations in the early 1960s, the differences between tic tac bass and baritone guitar, and tic tac’s current place in the soundscape of modern country music. Experiences as a jazz guitar student at North Texas State University and how he applied the lessons he learned there in his later career in country music.
